Nicole Renae had the best 10th birthday present. Her grandmother gave her a gray puppy whom she named Chloe.
Nicole was somehow sad being an only child. But when Chloe came into her life, she finally found the best friend, companion, and happiness her childhood needed.
When Chloe turned 14, her father had to shift to working at home. His work situation required a noise-free home for her dad, which means they had to let Chloe go. This was such a devastating time for Nicole’s life, for she can’t do anything about this. All that Nicole could do then was to pray for Chloe to be adopted and loved by a new owner.
As the years passed, Nicole never forgot about Chloe. – the unlimited licks the dog did and the playful companionship she gave her as a kid.
Now Nicole has her own family and a child of her own. She remembered how much joy she got from owning a dog, and this was something she wants her own child to experience too. So Nicole decided to get a dog again. She thought of getting a puppy first, but then as she was browsing on Facebook, she came across this senior dog looking for a home.
This senior dog had a familiar charming look. As Nicole read the name, she found out that the dog’s name is Chloe, just like her childhood best friend!
Upon meeting the senior dog, the dog immediately ran to her and started licking her face. There was an instant unexplainable feeling about this dog. Throughout the day, this dog just showed all the characteristics that her puppy Chloe had. She just kept hugging her and reminded her heart that it was surely her puppy Chloe, her childhood best friend.
Nicole convincingly narrated this to her parents. She told them that she knew this was the Chloe she had. Her parents thought she was crazy, but her mom suggested a way to prove it.
Puppy Chloe has a microchip inserted from their vet many years ago, so they decided to see it senior Chloe had one too. To their surprise, senior Chloe also had a microchip in her. Not only that, but they also discovered that their ID numbers we’re the same!
This is her puppy Chloe, indeed!
The two best friends may have reunited after eight years, but the love they have for each other feels the same. Even though Chloe is now 11 years old, she still has the same characteristics and energy she had when she was still a puppy.
Nicole found out that Chloe was adopted twice. First, by an old couple who later passed away. Next by a family who eventually couldn’t keep her anymore. But it seems like fate brought Chloe back to her first love so that Nicole and Chloe could continue on the childhood games they had, which were cut short.
