A man quickly became viral on social media after sharing a screengrab of a conversation on Twitter with a girl he had matched on Tinder. It turned out that the girl was actually the previous owner of his adopted dog, a black Labrador named Onyx. This tweet receives more than 5,000 times and has more than 151,000 likes.
As the story went, Twitter user JimNo was on Tinder trying to get a match when he came across a woman who luckily swiped right on him as well. The two started chatting and then came to the topic of dogs at one point. In the conversation, the girl casually said that it was weird, but she just had to throw it out that she used to have a Lab named Onyx just like him.

Tinder started a new chapter. He replied her on tinder, asking how long ago that was and if she happened to have him adopted. And this was where things got interesting. The girl told him that it was a few years back when she was 17 that they had to put him up for adoption. She also added that she was so upset at what had happened. Onyx was the best dog that if the choice were hers to make, she would never let go of him.
And that was where it all indeed clicked for JimNo as he actually had Onyx for that long. It seems like they were talking about the same dog.
Twitter definitely loved the exchange and longed for an update on whether they actually met. Thankfully, JimNo gave an update, complete with photos. It turned out that they went on a date, and he brought along Onyx with him. At first, Onyx, unfortunately, didn’t recognize the girl, but it seemed like he remembered her by the end of the date.
There were a lot of tears and great memories shared on that day, and, of course, one thrilled dog in all of it.
