Meet Buddy, the sweetest redbone coonhound.
We found Buddy thanks to his owner’s photographic journey. Lois Cunniff is Buddy’s human and a self-taught photographer.
Lois has shared a series of pictures telling the story of Buddy, and how much love it required for him to overcome his anxiety.
Buddy was rescued in rural Kentucky. He was in the 48-hour list to be put down when Lois rescued him.
It seemed like he spent a very long time in the streets. Lois said he was bone-thin when he first came home.
The first big challenge of Buddy’s new life was whether or not he was going to be friends with Lois’ cat.
They became friends immediately. Phoenix the cat was the first aid for Buddy’s fears.
Lois shared how hard of a journey they overcame together. Buddy was scared of so many things, he had violent panic attacks.
After more than one year, Buddy’s personality started to shine, and Lois finally started seeing results.
Buddy overcame his fear or plastic bags, running people, cars, and the long list goes on.
He also proved to be the perfect partner when Lois’ mom passed away. He stayed close to his human and gave all of his dog support.
Lois describes him as an amazing dog. They have lived so many adventures together, like living 9 months of travel in a camper.
Buddy is now 12 years old, and even though he doesn’t have the same energy as before, he’s still a happy and loving dog.
Lois promised to give Buddy the best last years a dog could have. Full of love, adventures and cute pictures.
You can see Buddy’s photos in this post. Buddy truly looks like a happy dog who loves photos as much as his owner.
