More about Gen
Gen’s fur parent says that the dog really enjoys being around others, whether he goes out for a walk or sleeps with his owners in the bed. Despite Gen’s bubbly and active personality, he used to have a fair share of life’s challenges, too.
Gen’s owner explains that the dog was born with a hereditary condition, which is chronic renal failure. And this cannot be cured. The owner adds that it’s the same condition that many people also have.
With his condition, Gen urinates more than usual (polyuria), and he always feels thirsty all the time (polydipsia). He also experiences malaise, anemia, and high blood pressure. To make things worse, the corgi was also born with convulsive seizures prostatic hyperplasia.
Despite these conditions, Gen remains a regular, fun, and energetic dog. Gen’s owner says that the dog’s expressions are genuine, even attributing them to the dog’s happy life.
The corgi owner stresses that a dog is a family, and it’s not a reason to let go of it even if it comes with an incurable disease.
