Everyone loves to hear dog stories, but some stories make a smile on our faces while others hurt our hearts. This story is about Saving Florence from suffering that will melt your heart.
The owner of Florence brought her into the emergency room on the ranch. She was very sick with some unknown disease, and everyone was guessing about what it could be. The owner was unable to afford the treatment and sought help from the farm to Saving Florence. They agreed to help by paying all expenses for her treatment. They thought it would be better for Florence to heal with her family.
After the checkup, the doctor found that she had a twist in her intestine. She needed emergency surgery to save her life. She was in the hospital for many days struggling with diarrhea and the surgery at the same time. It was excruciating for her to be like this. Florence recovered and went back to her family.
Villagers at the ranch paid $10,000, and we’re happy to Saving Florence. Yesterday, Florence’s family was informed about her illness. She refused to eat and was lethargic. Again, the family didn’t have the money and could not pay her medical expenses. Having a pet and not being able to take care of them is always an issue. Saving Florence made the villagers and the rescue team happy. But doing it, again and again, was something to think about. The vet called the family and explained that they needed to bring Florence home and wait for her to heal. Otherwise, they needed to hand her over to the Ranch rescue team. It was scary to wait. She already had lost a few inches of her intestine. Letting Florence go was very tough for the family, but Florence’s welfare was necessary for all.
Time To Make Tough Decisions For Florence
No matter how hard it is, we sometimes have to make tough decisions and let go. It was essential for Florence to get proper treatment and find a new home. Also, it was necessary to educate everyone that we have to act on behalf of the dog and decide to Saving Florence. Last night, they brought her to the rescue team, and diagnostic treatment started. Her x-ray was very concerning as there was a blockage or scar tissue from her previous surgery. Dr. Rolfe took over the treatment and gave her an ultrasound to get the details of her illness. There might be a need for a barium study to see the problem. This treatment will again be paid for by the villagers, and they will pay for whatever is needed. This time Florence will be with the rescue team. They will take care of everything until she gets well and free from all problems.
Rescue is complicated, and taking Florence away from her family was even more challenging. Sometimes we need to make decisions that we don’t like but are needed to make everything right. Florence needed this decision for her betterment, even if it made our hearts hurt a lot.
