Puppies love adventure! Their curiosity brings them to places, and sometimes, to trouble. They will even try to escape home whenever there’s an opportunity to do so.
One puppy wandered off the streets during his human family’s holiday in Butte, Montana, but thankfully, he was found just in time for Christmas.
Missing Pug
A four-month-old Pug was able to find an opportunity to wander the streets of Butte during his human family’s Christmas vacation. The family had decided to take a drive from Texas to Montana to spend a short holiday away from home. After a few hours from their arrival in Butte, the family had realized that their dog was missing. The family was worried that their beloved four-legged family member would get into trouble, especially in an unknown place.
The family didn’t waste time finding their dog, so they filed a missing dog report at the police station.
Fire Department To The Rescue
The local fire department received a call that a pug was found on Harrison Avenue. That street was home to Wal-Mart, Petco, an airport, and several large chain stores. People were doing their last-minute holiday shopping, so imagine the heavy volume of traffic on the streets.
The pug was trying to get through the traffic. The fire truck stopped at Harrison Avenue to help in capturing the dog. Also, kind locals helped in managing the traffic to spare the pug from being hit by a car.
Scared, the pug hid under one of the parked cars on the street. He got overwhelmed by the big city. He probably had realized that he was lost. The firefighters were able to pull him out and brought him to Chelsea Bailey Animal Shelter for safety. The dog’s family then claimed him at the shelter. They were more than happy to be reunited with their youngest family member.
For sure, the pug has learned his lesson the hard way. He will not try to escape again in the future.
