Sergi is a man that always looked forward to going on adventures – more specifically, taking his sailboat out to sea. So his family and friends were not surprised when he announced that he would cross the ocean alone. They weren’t worried because they knew that he was an experienced sailor.
Former Italian Street Dog – A new friend
After leaving his hometown in Barcelona, Spain, former Italian street dog, Sergi crossed the coast to Italy. He made a stop at Sardinia, where he had a couple of days of rest and taking in supplies. While wandering through the town, he met a small Former Italian Street dog that looked very neglected.
Feeling sorry for the homeless pup, Sergi took him to a local vet to get her treated. He fell in love with the small pup, so he adopted her and took her on his adventures. Even though he wasn’t sure if the dog would be okay out in the sea, and he would have added responsibilities, Sergi just couldn’t bear to leave the dog behind.
Sergi named the dog Nirvana and quickly started teaching her how to live in the sea. To his surprise, Nirvana quickly learned to be comfortable in the water. It was as if she had been a boat dog all her life. She was very well behaved even when there were rough waters. For the next six years, they sailed everywhere and would even go hiking, exploring caves, and visiting new places. The dog finally led a life that was filled with love and adventures.
