The Stevenson’s family from Michigan were on their way to a family Christmas gathering when they met a string of bad luck. However, as the adage goes, there is always a silver lining in every setback. While driving on the interstate, the family hit a slick spot that resulted in a rollover accident.
Due to the impact of the hit, the Stevenson family’s car flipped several times before coming to a stop. The good thing is that no one got hurt during the accident. Wade Stevenson, as well as his wife, Ruth, and daughter, Hazel, did not get injured in the accident. There were minor scratches in some parts of their bodies, but according to the Stevenson, the wounds are bearable.
But while the three were safe during the accident, the fourth member of their family, a dog named Red, went missing after the accident. The Golden Retriever could have darted into the woods due to the impact of the accident. The family similarly hypothesized that the pooch might have gotten traumatized, so Red run away.
Help from the local police, as well as other volunteers, came for the Stevenson family. When the police ascertained that the members of the Stevenson family are safe, they immediately looked for the missing pooch.
The volunteers and the members of the police tried to lure the dog with a treat. This technique, though, proved to be futile. After a week of search and rescue, Red was finally found. The family did not disclose how they found the pooch, but they announced that they are happy to see the pooch again. Red’s reunion with the family came during the New Year’s Eve. This is why the celebration was extra special because the dog is back. The Stevenson family extended their gratitude to the many people who helped them find Red.
