Chihuahua Saved And Adopted By The Vet Who Rescued Him

A Chihuahua mix named Jim was brought to the Humane Society of the Pike Peaks Region, Colorado after rescuers saw him at the side of Highway 50. It was assumed that he was a hit-and-run victim as he had a broken pelvis.

The Humane Society of the Pike Peaks Region (HSPPR) was founded in 1949 and was the largest animal welfare group in Southern Colorado. HSPPR primarily takes care of homeless and abused animals.

A Dog Named Jim

Jim underwent surgery for his fractured pelvis. Later on, Dr. Sue Lynch, his attending veterinarian, found out that he had extensive nerve damage on his hind right leg. Dr. Lynch had decided to amputate his leg to save his life and to ease the pain Jim was experiencing.

Despite his injuries, Jim remained sweet and calm during his recovery process.

Jim Was Adopted By Vet

Dr. Lynch has decided to foster Jim while he is recovering from his surgeries. After a few days at her home, Dr. Lynch’s family has decided to take care of him for good. The Lynch family can’t seem to live without Jim. Dr. Lynch also shares that Jim has the most beautiful face that she has ever seen.

Dr. Lynch said that she did not want Jim to end up unadopted in the shelter due to his condition.

Dr. Lynch said that Jim has the best temperament. He always follows Dr. Lynch whenever she is at home. She also shares that despite having only three legs, Jim is one active dog. He loves to play and run around with Elvita, the other dog in Dr. Lynch’s home.

Jim is one lucky dog! He is now living his life as if nothing harrowing happened to him in the past. It seems that he has forgotten all the pain because he is now loved by a family.
