When Biggie, a little stubby-legged puppy with a head that was about half the size of his body, arrived at the shelter, everyone knew he was no ordinary dog. Stephanie Han, Biggie’s foster aunt, saw his uniqueness the moment she laid eyes on him.

Biggie’s head was disproportionate to his body. It made it hard for him to move around and lift it off on the ground. Because of this, everyone gave him the nickname “Bighead.”

Everywhere Stephanie and Biggie went, everyone wanted to hold and cuddle Biggie. It was the same for Lauren Gallagher, a seasoned foster parent who immediately fell in love with Biggie.

People were convincing to Lauren to foster Biggie and take him to work so that they could see him every day. Without a second thought, Lauren immediately agreed.

Lauren wanted Biggie to get a DNA test as soon as she got him. Lots of people tried to guess what breed Biggie was. Most of them were wrong though, as it turned out, Biggie was a mix of six different breeds. Biggie is 25% Shar-pei, 25% Boxer, 12.5% Border Collie, 12.5% Staffordshire terrier, 12.5% Lhasa Apso, and 12.5% mixed companion sporting dog.

Lauren’s family immediately fell in love with Biggie. Lauren’s daughters were six and eight years old, and they started fostering him on their birthday weekend. He also met Dozer, who loves to foster puppies and Otto.

Lauren and her two daughters convinced her husband to keep Biggie, and they did. Biggie was always so playful. He would run around to play with his sisters and brothers. He may get rough and naughty with them, but Biggie was always gentle and loving with the foster puppies in their care.

Biggie also works as a fantastic greeter at Lauren’s work. He helps the other dogs get adopted and find homes. Biggie never fails to share his immense love and happiness with everyone around him.
